Armstrong lies in a valley full of beautiful agricultural farms with a population of just under 5,000. One of the top year round attractions is the Village Cheese Company where you can watch the masters at work and taste a variaty of freshly made cheese (they even have squeaky cheese!) Being a small town in a valley, Armstrong offers tons of hiking and horse back trails.
For a little afternoon or evening entertainment check out the Caravan Farm Theatre. The Caravan Fram theater is hosts professional theater shows all year round. Throughout the summer there is afternoon market days full of artisans, good food, hay rides and activities for the kids.

On a lazy summer day you can grab a tube and float through Armstrong down the shuswap river. From July – August floating down the river is one of the top summer activities and a must do a hot summer day.
In the late August Armstrong hosts the Armstrong IPE “Provincial Exhibition and Stamped”. The IPE is fun filled weekend of stampedes, rodeos, carnival rides and live country music.
